Level currently supports the following release types:
- Singles
- EPs
- LPs
- Compilations
Which release types or genres are not currently supported by Level?
Due to guidelines set by music services and stores, certain genres require a special set of metadata (ex: Orchestra, Director, etc.) that Level doesn’t currently support. Because of this, we’re unable to distribute the following genres:
- Classical Music*
- You may distribute orchestral pieces just as long as you can submit all necessary metadata fields (ex: track name, primary artist, featured artist, etc.) and have distribution rights for the audio. *Streaming services recommend selecting ‘New Age’ as the genre for these types of releases.
- Jazz
- Soundtracks
- Movie Scores
- Musicals
Level is also unable to distribute releases that do not use the western alphabet at this time (ex: Middle Eastern, Asian, or Cyrillic characters).
