The amount you earn from streaming and downloads varies between platforms.
Downloads
Payments from downloads are decided from either a fixed wholesale price (which is not directly connected with the retail price) or from a fixed percentage of the retail price (excluding a payment to the publisher outside of the U.S., as well as any applicable government taxes.) Download sales in the U.S. that are paid to you include a mechanical royalty.
Streaming
A streaming service receives income from either advertising or customer subscriptions. Those income streams are then divided each month based on the total number of streams from all rights holders on the platform. Similar to downloads, deductions for publishers and government taxes are made prior to payment to you.
Your Payment
Music services transfer the resulting revenue from both download and streaming income to Level, which is then made available for you to withdraw.
